I'm back! I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post, after all i did say i would be absent for a while. We are still settling into our new abode, Mr Olliecat is thoroughly enjoying his new jungle as are our pumpkin babies. This week has been a busy one, we headed up to London for a long weekend away. On the Sunday Ikkin and i had a blast at London IMATS. Here are a few sneaky photo's of our day. The whole experience was a treat for the eyes with incredible work from some amazing makeup artists. I was also lucky enough to meet Shrinkle aka the Queen of Kawaii and owner of my favourite cosmetics brand sugarpill.

She was super nice and complimented my ears too, it was not an easy task removing my ears on the Sunday as i had become so attached to them all weekend. I still think i look strange without them now =^_^=. I bought a few Sugarpill items that i had been lusting after, i have wanted Tako and Bulletproof for a long time however i have an overload of black and white shadows to burn through first. Instead of monochromatic shades i went for something completely different by the the name of Buttercupcake. Buttercupcake is a vibrant yellow shade which as the name suggests is the colour of a buttercup. I can see it blending perfectly with love+ to make a nice sunset gradient look. I also picked up two of the new nail polishes which aren't available in the UK as well as the Magpie loose pigment (blue black).

For my IMATS look i chose 3 shades of Neve cosmetics shadows; Acquario, Diva and Shopping as well as the glitter black from my much loved Anna Sui palette. The result was a bright contrast of colours that i really love. I undercut my my inner lash line with an angled flick of liner to widen my eyes and make a more interesting look. I also did a double cat eye to make things a little more complex. I'm happy with the way it turned out, would have loved to add some big false lashes though.

After hitting the Sugarpill booth we were led into the Eye Kandy Cosmetics booth by two lovely enthusiastic ladies. It was a booth full of glitter, how could i resist. The saleswoman kindly added some glitter to my makeup, she chose the perfect colours to elevate my look even more (Black Bart, Tiny Tart and Spearmint). I loved the look so much that i bought a set of three glitters with the mixing medium to create some glitter liquid liner.

And finally my quick Imats review couldn't possibly be complete without talking about the incredibly talented artists that were present in every corner of the event. It really was a pleasure checking on the progress of each design throughout the day. Here are just a couple of designs that i was impressed by.

Overall i had an amazing day, i will be happy to write a more in depth review as well as product reviews for some of my IMATS purchases. I can't promise that they will be posted soon as i am still a very busy bee. It's good to be back, Thank you all for your loyalty =^_^=
