Alternative Christmas Gifts @ Paperchase

This week i was lucky enough to spend a few days up in the lovely capital city of my homeland; Cardiff. There are plenty of good reasons to visit but on this occasion we convinced ourselves into doing a little (emphasis on the little) Christmas shopping. In short i purchased two gifts for others and plenty of gifts for myself. There are a selection of shopping centers full of well known brands and arcades that hold some amazing boutiques full of the most unique gifts. Here are some of the items i picked up, all would make great affordable gifts for someone with unusual tastes.

Mystic Rose Rams Skull Ring Holder

Being a paperchase virgin i excitedly made my way through the doors with the intention of buying some art supplies. When all of a sudden i was surrounded by skulls and antlers, these are the sort of items i lust after but usually come with a hefty price tag. This ring dish is a huge bargain at just £6. I love the copper tone metallic finish and it has so much room for rings as well as smaller items such as earrings.

Since i began my new job i have been drinking a lot more tea (Whittard of Chelsea dreamtime instant tea is a big favourite) and i have been looking for a fancy travel cup to keep my tea warm and safe (i'm a clutz). This is exactly the sort of thing that i had in mind, simple design with a pretty dark gold print to add glamour.

After seeing so many goth friendly items in store i checked the website for more items from the mystic rose range. I had seen these plates in store but couldn't justify how much i would spend purchasing enough for a set. These are beautiful but there are no matching items that i could find, e.g cups and bigger plates (lets be honest i would buy them all!) Sadly they seem to be out of stock on the website.

I have to admit that velvet really isn't my thing, i have only recently been able to touch it but the texture will always make me shudder (goth fail). I love the way that this money box looks and i have a certain someone who would lose her shit if she were to receive this. If she could decorate her house in purple velvet everything she would.

I have been pleasantly surprised with my first visit to paperchase, i will be putting in some online orders for sure =^_^=
